It’s hard to believe the best of the summer is behind us – Oh, and what a summer it was. The weather was perfect, PEI was buzzing and so was our little shop in New London. We were so happy to see our returning customers as well as meet many new ones. The newest Village Potter Laura was a great addition to the shop with her creative, positive attitude. All in all, it was another record breaking summer for VP!

As we look ahead to the fall season, there are quite a few events to let you know of. Starting with the PST Free Weekend September 14-16th. It’s a great weekend to visit all the participating craft shops & studios while saving the pst on all quality handmade products. We will be open Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm. Sunday, September 30th is PEI Fall Flavours Farm Day in the City. We will have a booth at this great event on Queen Street in Charlottetown. There will be lots of great food and entertainment along with the opportunity to buy local produce from Island farmers.

October will bring the shop’s 39th season to an end. We will officially close on October 14th but will be open “by chance” until the first week of November as we prepare for the upcoming Craft Fair Season. You can always post on our Facebook wall or contact us to see if we are open during this time.

As always, we’ll be participating in the PEI Crafts Council 48th Annual Christmas Fair at the Confederation Centre of the Arts November 9-11th. This is always a fantastic fair with PEI’s highest quality products. Perfect chance to get all of your Christmas shopping done in one place!

The following weekend, November 16-18th, we will be back at the Nova Scotia Designer’s Craft Council Fair at the Cunard Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are very excited to bring our pottery to the mainland again this year and meet some of our customers on their end. Hope to see you there.
